Trick #1: The Magic Word "Turnover" ๐
Exam me jab bhi kisi ratio ke naam me "Turnover" word aaye (jaise Debtors Turnover, Creditors Turnover, Stock Turnover), toh aankh band karke yeh rule yaad rakhna:
Shortcut Rule: "Turnover" word aate hi Sales (ya COGS) humesha Numerator (เคเคชเคฐ) me aayega, aur jo naam pucha hai woh niche!
- Inventory (Stock) Turnover Ratio: Turnover matlab yahan business ki cost se hai. So, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) / Average Inventory.
- Debtors (Receivables) Turnover Ratio: Debtors kis se bante hain? Credit Sales se! So, Net Credit Sales / Average Debtors.
- Creditors (Payables) Turnover Ratio: Creditors kis se bante hain? Credit Purchase se! So, Net Credit Purchase / Average Creditors.
๐ก Cheat Code: Jo naam pucha hai, usse related activity (Sales/Purchase) upar rakhni hai, aur khud us item ka average niche!
Trick #2: The "Return On..." Rule ๐ฐ
Jab bhi question me pucha jaye "Return on [Something]", toh samajh jao ki aap se munafa (Profit) pucha ja raha hai us particular investment par.
Shortcut Rule: Net Profit humesha Numerator (upar) hoga, aur "Return on" ke baad jo kuch bhi likha hai, woh Denominator (niche) ban jayega!
- Return on Investment (ROI): Net Profit before Interest & Tax / Capital Employed. (Yahan 'Investment' ka matlab total capital employed hai).
- Return on Equity (ROE): Net Profit after Tax / Equity Shareholders' Funds.
Trick #3: Liquidity Ratios Ka "Minus" System ๐ง
Liquidity ratios check karte hain ki company ke paas short-term me cash dene ki aukaat hai ya nahi. Isme do bhai hain: Current Ratio aur Quick Ratio.
Inka formula yaad rakhne ke liye bas yeh simple chain yaad rakho:
| Ratio Name | Formula | Ideal Standard |
|---|---|---|
| Current Ratio | Current Assets / Current Liabilities | 2 : 1 |
| Quick / Liquid Ratio | Quick Assets / Current Liabilities | 1 : 1 |
Reason: Inventory (Stock) ko bech kar cash banane me time lagta hai aur prepaid expenses ka cash wapas nahi milta, isliye hum inhe 'Quick' assets me shamil nahi karte.
Trick #4: Naam Me Hi Formula Chupa Hai (Solvency Ratios) ๐ก๏ธ
Solvency ratios check karte hain company ki long-term financial health. Iska sabse famous ratio hai Debt-to-Equity Ratio. Iska formula dhoondhne ke liye dimaag lagane ki zaroorat hi nahi hai!
Jo word pehle likha hai (Debt), woh upar (Numerator). Jo word baad me hai (Equity), woh niche (Denominator). Simple!
โ ๏ธ Pro-Tips Jo Exam Me Marks Katne Se Bachayengi:
- Presentation Matters: Ratios ke answers hamesha unke sahi format me likho. Profitability ratios ko Percentage (%) me, Turnover ratios ko Times me, aur Liquidity/Solvency ko Pure Ratio (e.g., 2:1) me represent kiya jata hai.
- Average Ka Chakkar: Agar formula me koi item Balance Sheet ka hai aur aap use Income Statement (P&L) ke item se compare kar rahe ho, toh Balance Sheet waale item ka Average (Opening + Closing / 2) zaroor nikalna.
